How do I add Versa to my server?
Sign in with your Discord account from the dashboard, select your server, and you'll be redirected to Discord's official authorization page to add the bot. Once added, you can configure everything directly from the dashboard — no need for complex commands.
هل يستخدم Versa أوامر سلاش أم أوامر بادئة (prefix)؟

Is Versa suitable for small servers, or only built for large ones?
Suitable for both — a small server benefits from welcome messages, leveling, and core protection with zero setup complexity, while a large server benefits from the full depth (role groups, economy, advanced management tools). Every feature can be enabled or disabled based on what you actually need.

Is there detection for new or suspicious accounts when they join?
Yes, you can enable suspicious-account detection (based on account age) from General Settings, and automatically apply an action to them (like a restrictive role) for both members and bots.

What permissions does Versa need when added to my server?
Granting Administrator is recommended so every feature works fully without role-hierarchy issues, especially protection and moderation. You can restrict specific permissions later from Discord's settings, but some protection features may stop working correctly if core permissions are removed.

If I remove the bot and re-add it, are my settings kept?
Yes, all your settings (protection, leveling, messages, etc.) are tied to your server's ID and remain saved in the database — re-adding the bot brings everything back to working order immediately, no reconfiguration needed.

Are all commands admin-only, or can regular members use some too?
No — some commands are open to any member (profile, rank, daily reward, viewing commands, etc.), while others are admin-only (protection, punishments, settings) — and you can further customize who has access to any command from the Permissions page.

What is the Anti-Nuke protection system?
An automatic, 24/7 protection system that detects suspicious destructive activity — mass channel or role deletion, mass bans/kicks, dangerous permission grants, unauthorized bot additions, and more — then instantly punishes the perpetrator and automatically restores whatever was destroyed, with no manual intervention required.

What actually happens if my server is attacked?
Within seconds, Versa identifies the attacker from the audit log, punishes them (kick/ban per your settings), and automatically recreates deleted channels and roles from an internal backup. For large enough attacks, the server temporarily enters a lockdown mode that freezes dangerous permissions until the incident is reviewed, and the server owner is alerted immediately.

What specific things does Versa protect against?
Mass channel/role deletion or edits, mass bans and kicks, granting dangerous permissions to a role, unauthorized bot additions, mass webhook creation/edits, mass member pruning, suspicious mass-join raids, onboarding-settings abuse, unauthorized server name/icon changes, and suspicious channel permission edits — each has its own configurable threshold and punishment in the dashboard.

What is the "Trusted Users" system?
Lets you designate trusted admins or bots that are exempt from automatic protection checks, so they aren't accidentally punished for their normal work (cleaning up channels, reorganizing roles, etc.). The system stays cautious: if a real destructive incident happens at the same time, trust is temporarily suspended as an extra safeguard.

What is the temporary lockdown mode triggered during large attacks?
When a real attack is confirmed, the server automatically enters a mode that temporarily freezes dangerous role permissions — auto-lifted within minutes for a single confirmed incident, or held until the owner manually confirms if the attack repeats or involves multiple attackers — an extra safeguard preventing further damage during and after the incident review.

Does Versa take backups of my server?
Yes — you can manually create a full backup anytime (channels, roles, categories), and during any protection incident, a partial backup of whatever was destroyed is taken automatically before restoration. Any backup can be manually restored using its unique code.

What is the "Known Nukers" registry?
A public registry documenting everyone Versa has confirmed nuking/destroying any server it protects, across all servers — not just yours. You can search by user ID or username before accepting a new member or granting them permissions, to check their history.

Can I exempt a specific member from just one protection feature?
Yes, each individual protection feature has its own exceptions list — you can fully exempt a member from it, or give them a custom limit and punishment specifically, instead of exempting them from all protection at once.

Can I prevent others from changing protection settings via the dashboard?
Yes, you can lock the dashboard from the protection page so only the server owner or specifically designated trusted users can change settings — even if others hold administrative Discord permissions.
هل تبقى الحماية فعّالة أثناء هجوم ضخم جداً وسريع؟

Does protection stay effective during a very large, fast attack?
Yes — punishing the attacker is designed to run at maximum priority even under heavy network load, while heavier restoration work (like recreating dozens of channels) is automatically paced at a safe rate to avoid slowing the bot down further, instead of stopping entirely.

What is "Strict Punishment Removal"?
A setting in the General Settings page that restricts removing any punishment (ban/timeout/jail/etc.) to only the server owner and trusted users — even if another staff member normally has permission to manage punishments, they can't lift one unless they're specifically trusted.

How does the leveling & rank system work?
Members earn XP from text chat and voice channel time, and their level rises automatically. Server owners can link specific roles to level milestones that get granted automatically, and every member has a customizable Rank Card showing their level and leaderboard position.

What's the difference between the shared bot and a dedicated/private instance?
The shared bot serves all servers together. A dedicated (private) instance runs on a separate process reserved exclusively for your server — faster response times, no shared rate limits with other servers, and its name and avatar can be fully customized.

Yes, the "Audit Log" page in the dashboard documents every moderation action taken in your server (who did it, to whom, and when) — a complete record separate from the active-punishments log specifically.
